But you have to have traffic to convert. Here's some tips to get your traffic coming to your site quickly.
1) Articles. Start writing articles on your product or services and post them on the many Article and Ezine directories on the web. This is a great way to reach thousands of people looking for your services. At the end of each article, put your contact information, website, and a sentence explaining what you do.Published articles also position you as an expert, and don't forget you can always re-purpose your articles for other uses such as Ebooks, Free Reports.
2) Social Networking. Don't get left behind! There are many Social
Networking sites that are great for getting traffic such as Facebook, Myspace and Youtube. You can post comments on popular sites and include a link back to your site, create Community pages that encourage discussion, and create a Professional profile.
3) Blogs. These are so easy to do, even a child can master it. Sign up with a blog service (again there are many out there), and start writing on your expertise or products. You can post audio and video to blogs to bring them to life. The key to a successful blog is to write about relevant topics that your customer is interested in and to post often. You can link back on your blog and you can also offer an RSS feed which basically means people can sign up for your blog posts and they are automatically delivered to their inbox every week!
4) Podcasts. Everyone loves to hear a good story. Use podcasts to add flavor to your business and marketing campaigns. All you need is a telephone, or mic and a computer and you're in business. There are
many cheap and free podcast services that will broadcast your
message to huge audiences. You can put a podcast link on your site,
register with Podcast directories and build a listener ship that may not have come across your ezines or site, but love your podcasts. Podcasts can also be put in your RSS feed so your customers have yet
another great way of keeping in touch with you.
5)Affiliate Marketing. Set up an affiliate marketing program on your site and have other people (affiliates) promote your services and products for you. They ultimately drive traffic from their webpages to yours for a commission.Yes you pay them an affiliate fee, but you get a customer (potentially for life) in return.
6) Pay Per Click. A more expensive option, but very effective too.
Research your keywords and create an ad linked to your site. The
important thing is to do your research, stick to a budget and test, test, test.
