Earthquakes can be scary, and if you are not properly prepared, they could be deadly too. Flashlights, first aid kits, and any specific medication for anyone in the family is an essential part of this kit as well because someone could need injury care. If you have only a slight injury, it is best to take care of it yourself and follow up with a doctor to free up emergency resources for those who could be worse off.

Having a radio is vital to be able to hear what is going on and if there are any instructions from officials as to where to go. Make sure the radio can work without electricity. If it runs on batteries, you will want to make sure to have fresh batteries at all times in the kit as well.

An emergency survival kit can work for earthquakes, floods, and other disasters. But thinking about it will not do anything for your or your family. If disaster strikes today, will you be ready?
