This is why when investigating various agencies, their membership to one of these bodies is essential. Both the NAEA and OEA strive to create a national standard for agency services by laying down a strict set of operating principles and codes of practise.

When choosing agents it is important to interview all in the area. During this interviewing process it is possible to assess their ability to sell properties, their knowledge of the local area as well as their understanding of the national property market more generally. Ultimately as a homeowner an agent that can answer all questions effectively and succinctly is the most preferable.
