My Television Is Slowly Destroying Me!

It's time for me to stop staring at my HD TV and get off the couch. I have gained 24 pounds over the past 6 months and if I proceed to view my high definition TV I may never be able to leave my home again.

I never thought getting a new television was going to add pounds but it surely has. All I do is snack and view high definition channels all day. I can't get enough of the HD display because of its clarity.

I guess I could pull out the nordic track and watch the HDTV while working out but it's so much more enjoyable to just lay on the couch. But like I said, it's time to forget about high definition and get outdoors to lose some pounds.

I have fought with my weight a little my whole lifetime but it truly is getting out of control now. My husband hasn't said anything because he is so good to me but I am just not happy with my appearance. I have started on the Adkins diet and want to begin working out.

I called up a neighbor of mine who is dedicated to going to the gym and want to have her to be my private trainer. There's nothing like a friend to get you off the couch and into the gym. Besides, exercising with a trainer is always so much easier and more enjoyable than doing it by yourself.

The next thing I want to do is stop lying around watching so much high definition television. It's insane how addicted you can become to something like that. I start watching it and before I know it, 4 or 5 hours are gone.

I could use those hours to straighten my closet, workout, or make a hearty dinner for my family and kids. It's just not realistic to sit and follow high definition TV for that long. So I am going to quit watching it beginning next week.

Not to say I won't ever watch it again, but I just need to control the addiction. I have set a goal of losing 15 pounds in the amount of time it took me to gain it, a couple of months.

I would like to sustain the weight loss and drop another 20 pounds. I think I will be really happy with that weight and maybe I could combine television back in again. Until I lose that amount though, it's about dieting reasonable and not sitting on my butt.
