The best way to search for a collectible pocket knife that you can carry daily is to start with the Internet. The Internet is beyond value when it comes to product research. You can find so many resources for collectible knives and daily carry knives. These resources come in the forms of blogs, discussion forums, product reviews both private and company sponsored.
Look around the Internet and bookmark sites with information that will aid you in your search for collectible pocket knives. This will allow you to return at a later time and review what you have found.
The difficult part of searching for collectible knives over the Internet is the fact that you cannot pick the knife up and hold it in your hands. There are a couple of solutions for this dilemma. One thing that you can do is narrow down to a few knives that interest you and then hit the streets. Head into your favorite retail shop and pick one up and examine it first-hand.
The next thing you can do is order from a reputable Internet company with a no questions asked return policy. These are difficult to find so ensure that you check out the company policy pages before pushing that order button. Many companies do not have return policies or charge you a significant fee to do so. Be smart about this part of your hunt for a collectible knife.
Do not be afraid to email a company, website or any other form of collectible knife organization. Ask the company about their policies or question them about knives. They should be able to offer you advice and help in finding what you are looking for. This is what they do and they should stand behind their knives and items they offer in their collectible knife stores.
Speaking from personal experience and an insatiable knife collecting addiction, I can tell you that you will learn a lot from sending out an email to a knife retailer. It is more often than not that the company simply will not respond to their emails. They lose immediately for that. If the company doesn't care enough to respond to my questions, then they don't get my money.
I can also tell you from personal experience that you can gain so much information from simply asking the professionals questions. Many of them are glad to help with good and honest information. And, to tell you the truth, I would rather get an "I don't know" from a knife company than no answer at all. That is a deal breaker for me.
I cannot emphasize enough how useful the Internet is in your task to expand your collectible knife collection. Dive in and use it. Get involved and have fun.
