If you have to pack your bedroom then start it early in the daytime, strip the bed then pack its bedding. After doing this, dismantle your bed. After completing it successfully, start packing other necessary things of the bed in a systematic manner. You might require cartons, which can be sealed and are appropriate for stacking. Do not forget to seal the cartons with tape to ensure the safety.
You must begin with loose objects like ornaments, frames decoration pieces and the things in the drawers and shelves. Put all the stuff in different boxes. After filling them, do not forget to seal the boxes. You should use cardboard boxes of at least two cubic feet. The boxes should be easy to lift, so avoid putting extra and unnecessary items in each box. Using original packing boxes is recommended for proper safety. If there is any fragile thing in your bedroom then take proper care and pack it using the cushions so that there must be a layer of air or foam to protect it properly.
Packing of Clothes and linens
The objects in the drawers, if not breakable, generally do not require packing. Similarly, the chests of the drawers should not be emptied, unless you are willing to put them into the store and need the contents. If there are clothes hanging in the wardrobe, do not worry about them because the removal staff would take care of them on removal day. The things present at the bottom of wardrobe must also be packed. Also check the top most area of the wardrobe and if you find few things, pack those things.
The clothes and linens cannot leak or break, so they should not be packed using the packing boxes. These things may be covered with the sheets or towels so that they are safe from dust etc.
You can put linens, pillows and blankets in a suitable bag because these things do not require the packing of cartons. You can use them as fillers to top up weighty boxes.
The bed
The bed must be stripped. Remove the fitted sheet. If you have drawers with your bed that have no covering lids with them, then it is recommended to empty them and pack the things separately. If the legs of your bed are removable, then remove them and put them in a separate bag or box. This bag or box may go in the drawers chest or in the bedside cabinets drawer. The fitted mattresses covers and blankets should not be left on the mattress. They should be separately covered should be packed in the boxes. Also make sure to screw in the bolts to secure the headboards.
