Is It Really As Good For The Gander?

In the job market it's hard for women to find equal pay for equal work, but average looking men aren't promoted as easily as good looking men and short men aren't promoted as easily as tall men. Even with their own sex men are shortsighted.
Studies show that when women enter formerly male-dominated professions like law, medicine and engineering, they increase their chances of developing heart disease. I think a study should be done on men who choose to be stay-at-home dads. I bet those men increase their chances of developing bedtime headaches.
Ohio State University did a study that showed married women with children are spending less time doing housework. That's the good news. The bad news is that the amount of saved time doesn't come close to compensating for the time women spend working outside the home. As a result, these women feel more than twice as rushed as single women. Their husbands, however, don't feel more rushed than single men. Is anyone surprised by that? What surprises me is that this study needed to be done. Any married woman with children knows a rush to judgment would have been sufficient.
In spite of all our rushing, women have been living longer than men since the 19th century. As of 2008 the average life expectancy for women is 5.4 years longer than for men. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, however, this is going to change. In 50 years men and women will have the same life expectancy. If men live longer, women won't be left alone as long, which will reduce their risk of becoming ill. Women won't have to go into nursing homes as soon when becoming chronically ill. Shorter widowhood will also mean women will be better off financially. Frankly, I'm not if sure men will be living longer in fifty years or if it will just seem that way to them.
