Spending Time With Family

Spending time with your family is important, I'm sure we all agree on that. But what do you consider quality time? I'll tell you a little story, about how my kids became alot easier to handle. After we had moved away from my home town where my inlaws lived, my children became stressed, even though we were moving to where my parents lived, so that they could spend more time with the grand kids.

By the way my girls at that time were 1 and 3 years old. They were the greatest girls, everyone always complimented my wife on how good of job she has been doing on raising the kids. Of course I helped as much as I could, but while working full time, it really wasnt enough time. They always wanted their mommy. So anyways, after we had moved, I had gotten to spend more time with the kids before I started working my new job. Which was great for me and the girls, but once I started working again, the kids went crazy for about a month, wanting their daddy. My wife had a difficult time with this. Not because they wanted me, but that they would not listen to her.

This brings me upto a few months ago, when I decided to try working from home. Now, for someone like me, I have very little internet experience, as I was always the outdoors type, and for the most part have lived in very small towns. Now when I first started working nights on my computer, just to see if I could make enough money to pay the bills before I quit my day job. I found out several things, it is impossible to accomplish anything while typing in the living room with the rest of the family. To many interuptions caused alot of stress. So my wife and I
decided to make a small sacrifice of 1-3 hours per day for 2 months, just to see what happens.

So I invested in my own online business, now the way I looked at it was, that I was investing in myself, and more importantly, my family. Lets face it, we all want to retire before we are old. And I came to the conclusion that you will not get there working a job. While starting my business, I found many many people online who were more than willing to help. I also found now, that you can spend too much time with your family. I now have to go out and get fresh air, just to get away for a couple hours, then I take the kids and send my wife out during the day so she can enjoy herself. I mostly just go play golf and she likes to find all the crazy art shops. I think its funny because if you look for it, someone out there is making it.

The beauty of Ebay, "whatever IT is" I believe thats their slogan, or something like that. But its not important. The facts are that this is about you, your family, and your financial future.
Never accept that what your doing is good enough, but dont let perfection get in the way of success. I am almost 27 years old, and I was determined to retire before 40. I hope you sure have goals like this too, and realize what it takes to achieve these goals. What is the point of following the path of life, I would much rather paint my own picture of what life should be. But at least for now, I get to spend alot of time with my family. Because watching your kids grow just is not the same when you have to work 40-60 hours a week.
