One Thing Every Goal Setter Must Do

We have almost 7 billion people on this planet; they are part of the human race. We are all goal setter, unfortunately most will never do anything about it. And no it is not action. These people miss out on the most important bit, and this bit is so important that it is the difference of mediocrity or major success.

Whatever you term success as, achieving any goal is a success. We all set goals, but it is not in the setting goals that we error. Every human is like a goal orientated mechanism. We have a want, a need, and we act to fulfill that need. For example, we will have a need for food, and we will go to get food. But, some people want better food!

There is a marked difference between a small group of people and the larger majority, and it is not in the abilities and skills between them; though it generally ends up being that way. A goal setter is someone who consciously decides on a goal, and sets about for its achievement. A successful goal setter is one who takes the necessary steps for achievement.

But, action is not the only bit. Granted, it is the most important part of goal setting, and not doing it will mean the difference between not making it, and making it. The divide comes down to what happens after the people have the desire. All across the world, everyone wants something more, whether that it more money or more happiness, they want more. We all want more; it is a natural part of being human.

The difference is that the goal setters write there goals down. Each day we have millions of people wanting something new, desiring something, and thinking up thousands of thoughts in a day. Some may think about a vacation in Hawaii, others want a new car, yet others want to get rich, find a soul mate, etc. But, they never actually get a pen and paper. Think about there goals and write it down.

Everyday we have thousands of thoughts. We see a car, and think 'that would be nice', we see the house we would like, but we never sit down with pen and paper and write those goals down. Yet fewer will plan what to do next. And yet such a few will take action. At the end we have 1 - 4% of people who achieve that goal.

This is fascinating. The stats show that 100 people interviewed in there 20's, had all high hopes for life, and great enthusiasm. But at 65, only 4 would be rich, and 1 would be super successful. Why so many people fail? It is simple, it is that they don't take the steps.
