What Would They Write on Your Tombstone?

Time is finite and I liken it to receiving a lottery check for a million dollars. "Whoo-Hoo," you might say and start buying all the material possessions of you've been dreaming about. First, you quit your job and you buy a new house. Then you buy a vacation home in Hawaii. Then you buy a new Italian Sport scar. Then you pay off the debt of all your family and friends. Then you go to Vegas high-roller style. Then you....(you get the picture). Pretty soon you find out that the money is all gone; the debt is piling up again, and you end up crawling back to your old boss to ask for your old job again. Time is the same way. We are given a fat check at the time of our birth for a large amount of time. What do the majority of people do with this check?... You got it!!... They waste it on self-depreciating things. Maybe they eat unhealthily. Maybe they smoke. Maybe they do reckless things. Whatever the case may be, too many people I know waste this precious asset and at the end of their life they have nothing to show for their time here on this earth.
"So what will they write on your tombstone?"
Now this might sound a bit depressing, but it really drives the point home. If you died today, would people be able to write something unique, creative, and inspirational on your tombstone, or would you get the "canned" generic tombstone engraving?
You have the ability to achieve some amazing things no matter how old you are. The key is not to just make goals and think up great dreams for yourself, but to put those goals and dreams into action. Action is the other part of dreaming that brings it from the fantasy world and grounds it into reality.
Remember that by the end of today, think back at what you spent your day doing and realize that this day will be gone forever and only the memories of what you achieved during this day will remain your legacy.
