Upstaging Your Fellow Man
You see a confident person has the ability to 'upstage' if you will someone who is less confident. Oozing confidence allows a person to manipulate another just by acting with a determined personality. This is the heart of hypnotism and is underestimated all the time.
I mean how many times have you spoken to, perhaps a salesperson that walked and talked confidence and happened to walk out of the store yourself with something in hand that you had no intention of buying in the first place. I know it's happened to me before!
Well, believe it or not this is a form of indirect hypnosis, where a person is not completely placed into a subconscious state, but a hypnotic state nonetheless. You see the main purpose of hypnotism is to control another human being and one of the best ways to hypnotize someone is to stand tall and act completely confident.
Easy to say, but how do you know if you are in a supremely confident state? Well it takes a lot of practice. If you have ever read the book, "The Game" by Neil Strauss then you will agree with me that some of the pickup artists mention in his book are some of the most confident people in the world.
They are able to use words and paraphrases to completely hypnotize a woman into 'submission' for want of a better word, all because they said it in a supremely confident state.
Hypnotism is no magic!
There is nothing magical about hypnotism, everything you have seen on television where you see people getting knocked out just by the click of a persons fingers' all has to do with the general perception that the person who is being hypnotized has of the person hypnotizing him or her.
But it takes a little more than confidently telling someone you are going to knock them out just by winking your eyes! You see if you told someone you were a great and powerful hypnotist and that you had the ability to hypnotize them, do you think they would believe you? Of course not! It takes something else to persuade a person you can put them into a subconscious state.
You need social proof! Social proof is where people know who you are and have heard about what you can do. People will listen to someone they know can back up their words with experiences. People telling people you are a hypnotist is a powerful thing to behold and in the end it provides a hypnotist with the tools he needs to manipulate people into thinking his or her words have the power to knock them out, when really it is the person being hypnotized that does all the work!
