Cornhole Sets: Store-Bought Versus Home-Built

There are two different ways to get a Cornhole set. They can be bought through dealers that sell them, or they can be made by anyone with basic tools and skills. In order to know which is the right choice, though, a person needs to know what the Cornhole game really is and what the benefits are of building versus buying. The game is played by throwing small bags full of dried beans, dried corn, or plastic pellets at a hole in an angled game board. Getting the bags through the hole scores points, and getting the bag to sit on the board without going into the hole and without falling off onto the floor also scores points, but not as many. This game is more popular in the north and in the west, but there are people all over the country who play it and enjoy it with their family and friends. There are also a lot of people who play the game in tournaments to win cash and prizes.

These tournaments – and most of the standard games played – are played on Cornhole sets that are purchased. For tournaments this makes sense, since they are very controlled and all of the boards and bags must be the same regulation items. These cannot be homemade, and they must all conform to specific requirements. These Cornhole sets can be either wooden or plastic, and they are all a standard size. The board is three feet by four feet, and the bags are all the same size and weight, so that when they are thrown there is no concern that the bags will not be weighted properly and will therefore give some people an unfair advantage. These regulation sets are very popular with a lot of people, especially if they are new to the Cornhole game, because they are unsure about the game and how everything works. If they know a lot about the game, though, they might be more interested in making their own Cornhole game.

For standard game play in the backyard, the Cornhole regulations are not the same. This makes it much easier to simply build a Cornhole game and play it. When a person builds a Cornhole game, he or she is usually just interested in playing it with friends or family members. Because of this, this person is not that worried about whether the Cornhole board is wooden or plastic, and the bags can be made out of almost any type of material. These games are just for fun. Despite this, though, it is important to build a Cornhole set that is quality, so that it can be used for many years and enjoyed by the family. These sets can be built with basic tools and skills, and the bags can be hand-sewn or sewn on a machine. This allows almost all of the family members to participate in the making of the set, giving them a sense of pride. Then, they can take their newly-made Cornhole set out to the yard for all to enjoy.
