The art and science of vedic astrology is aimed at creating a synthesis between the body and the mind of an individual by using a variety of tools individuals are able to gain a better understanding of the main purpose of their lives. There are many people who feel that this type of study is useless and are quite skeptical, but others who have a vast knowledge of the understanding surrounding the Zodiac section of vedic astrology realize that their daily lives depend upon the basics of this astrology.
Every calendar system throughout the world are based upon some form of astrology, because a twelve month calendar actually represents the twelve signs of the astrological Zodiac system. The seven planets in our solar system represents the seven days of a week while our four seasons, which are spring, summer, autumn, and winter, are represented by air, fire, earth, and water. A human body is a combination of air, fire, earth, ether, and energy, but with the exception of ether all these elements have had signs of the Zodiac assigned to them.
The Zodiac signs of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius are considered fire signs, while Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are water signs. The earth signs are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn while the air signs are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. All of the signs and each of the planets with our solar system including the sun represents a different phases within the life of an individual.
The sun represents the inner nature, personality, and characteristics of individuals, but it also symbolizes the authoritative figure, so it is seen as the father as well. It is the soul, will power, courage, and vitality of an individual. The moon help affects the emotions, sensitivity, softness, brain, mind, and imagination of an individual and also symbolizes the mother.
Saturn is the great teacher that represents all the suffering that an individual may go through within their life that will ultimately determine the potential that each individual contains. The planet Venus controls the artistic talents of individuals and the type of body that a person will get in life. Mercury is in control on the intelligence, senses, and education of an individual. The planet Mars controls the physical energy and drive of an individual as well as their strength, self confidence, heroism, and their adventurous nature. The other planets control other aspects of an individuals life it just depends on which sign that the individual is born under.
Ultimately, this is known as the horoscope. All of this basically depends upon where the moon is positioned when an individual is born, which means that the planet that is in control when you are born then this determines what type of life the individual is to have. This is known as the Dasha system, which is the core of vedic astrology.
