The eighth sign or symbol of the Zodiac is Scorpio the scorpion, which is a ground dweller containing a poisonous stinger on the tip of its tail. Another symbol for this, though not as popular, is the eagle, which is a predator that sees far away while soaring above troubles, hypothetically that is.
In Vedic Astrology the sun stands for an individual's inner nature, character, and personality. If you are a Scorpio then the sun was under water when you were born. You rule metallic iron and you birthstone is topaz, which is one of the hardest minerals mined. The flowers of the Scorpio are the anemone, heather, and gardenia.
Scorpios tend to have a youthful appearance with fierce eyes, who love excitement. They have a generous disposition, but are fickle minded. Females tend to have masculine tendencies. They tend to become proficient in art, dance, music, and in philosophy. Scorpios are set in their ways and will uphold their own views, but they can be silent and dignified, until pushed. Being married to a Scorpio may not be the easiest thing in the world, because of their temperamental differences and generative illnesses that will affect one of you.
