It's easy once you know the steps to setup your selling machine. Here are 5 simple steps to rake in the book sales with a direct response mini web site:
Step 1: Target your market.
Find a hot niche market related to your book is your best chance for sizzling book Sales. Lots of people have found their niche market in their hobbies (interests), challenging experiences, trends, travel or experts around you.
There are literally thousands of niche markets to choose from. So what are you waiting for? It really is easier than it sounds.
Step 2: Setup your direct response website or webpage
There are several different models of websites that you can setup for your book. All the experts agree the best model to use is the direct response web site. The direct response web site is what some have termed as a mini web site that's setup simply with limited options.
On this mini web site, you don't want any distractions. You only want them to focus on your book offer. Normally, the DR mini web site has its own domain name, a one page sales letter on the home page, order page, an affiliate page (optional) and an email capture form.
Shoe String Budget Tip: If you are starting with little or no cash, you can setup your mini web site as a web page on your main web site until you can get your domain name. But the best option is to get a wholesale domain name. I recommend Godaddy's web site where at the time of this writing you can register a name for $8.75. Which is pretty good comparing some companies are still charging $19.97 - 39.99.
I signed up for a service a few days ago that was soliciting me to register a domain at $30.00. Of course you know what I was thinking. Why when I can pay pennies elsewhere?
Step 3: Generate targeted traffic
Here's where some people get stumped. They jump the hurdle of getting their direct response web site setup but they are clueless as to how to advertise their site. For you see, it doesn't matter how wonderful your mini web site is if no one knows it's there.
It's important that you focus on quality advertising methods. The methods must be one that connects with people that are interested in the book you're offering.
The biggest mistake unseasoned book sellers make is wasting time and money on unworthy advertising methods. Most FFA (free for all) link site, traffic exchanges, safe lists, ad blasters. etc.
If you invest in time waster advertising, you'll only get burned out after getting very little in return. Instead, choose the proven ways to get targeted online traffic both no cost and low cost.
Don't put it off. You can get more sales from your passion oriented book in less time than ever. Remember to find a niche area related to your book, setup your mini web site, and take steps to generate targeted traffic.
Then to convert more of your visitors to customers setup an ezine, or a free gift to capture their emails and automate your follow-up. Finally, invest in your sales letter to close the sale. Implement the above steps to rake in a lion's share of book sales in your targeted area. Don't forget if you enjoy the journey life is made easier.
